Extracurricular Activities
Our Extracurricular Activities
As a part of our school’s mission to help educate and nurture well-rounded children, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities to enrich our elementary and middle school students’ experience at Saint Anthony Catholic School. Opportunities ranging from church service to student government give our students the ability to get involved in our school at a deeper level, make new connections, and explore their passions and interests.
Participating in extracurricular activities can have a profound impact on students, and helps them become fully immersed in their elementary and middle school experience. The activities we offer are designed to help students deepen their involvement in our school and church community.
We are committed to actively exploring and expanding new extracurricular offerings for our students. Though we are a school with a small and close-knit student body, we aim to offer a wide breadth of after-school activities that enrich the experience of all students at Saint Anthony Catholic School.
-
Altar Server
Our altar servers assist the clergy in our parish during services. They support the clergy by collecting, carrying, and ringing the altar bell. Students in 3rd grade and above who meet our academic requirements are welcome to become altar servers.
-
Art Program
Students in grades 5-8 can apply to participate in our after-school art program that provides them with an opportunity to explore the broader world through a variety of art mediums. This program is a great extracurricular addition for students that enjoy their regular art classes and seek to further immerse themselves in creating and learning about art.
-
Choir
Grade school students who choose to join our choir learn songs as a group and perform at our church services. Students ages eight and older are welcome to join our choir.
-
Garden Club
Our garden club is an opportunity for younger students to work with their hands in the Earth. Those that are a part of our Garden club have the opportunity to build their agricultural knowledge while serving others. The vegetables grown by our garden club are donated to our St. Vincent de Paul Society.
-
National Junior Honor Society
Middle school students who are selected and choose to participate in the Saint Anthony Catholic School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society become part of a national society of high-achievers dedicated to leadership, character, citizenship, and service. On our campus, members of the National Junior Honor Society are very involved with service projects and host after-school events throughout the year.
-
Safety Patrol
Safety patrol is an activity for our 7th grade students who are interested in keeping our school and students safe. Students on safety patrol assist with our after-school carline to help ensure all of our students leave safely for the day.
-
Student Council
For students who are interested in taking a leadership role, getting involved in the governance of our student body is an excellent extracurricular opportunity. From secretary and treasury positions to student body vice president and president, student council offers varied ways for students to lend their skills and strengths in service to their school community.
